Ya'll Ready for This? Sport Anthem Songs

There's nothing like the vibe and energy you get from going to a sports game from hanging out with friends, drinking beer and food to of course the music!  Music and sports go way back like babies and pacifiers.  It's an important element of the game.  It's been used to announce the entrance of a team/player, support a good play, hype up the crowd, especially when the team and/or player is doing well, or strike fear in the opposing team. At my alta mater, University of Maryland, we would chant "Hey, you suck" to Rock & Roll, Pt. 2 (also know as the "Hey Song") by Gary Glitter whenever we played against our rivals Duke. 

In November 2010, Usher released the song More as a promotional single for his sixth album Raymond v. Raymond.  It was later used to promote that year's NBA All-Star game.  You might have seen the commercial that does a great job in capturing the energy of the game.

In September 2010, Wiz Khalifa released his debut single Black and Yellow, which was written to represent his hometown of Pittsburgh, PA, and all its home teams.  The song's release had perfect timing, during football season when the Pittsburgh Steelers were heading to the Super Bowl.  Black and Yellow quickly became associated with the team that season.
